If you want to catch big fish but fear seasickness, this is the trip for you. These trips are 6-7hrs in length and take place in the sound from the beginning of August through September. This is easy fishing soaking baits while on anchor, don't be fooled, we will be spot hopping until we find feeding fish so don't plan is sitting on one spot waiting.
One of the best ways to fish these is at night. We leave the dock an hour or 2 before sunset and usually return 6-7hours later. Bring a few tasty beverages and dinner with you for this one. Watching the sunset across the sound while sipping on a beverage and eating dinner makes it a great trip, then the reel starts screaming and you remember why we are there. Most nights we have the fish to ourselves, and it's beautiful fishing under those starlit skies.
