Frequently asked questions

Do I need gear or bait? No, all gear, bait and ice while on board are covered. If you have gear you would like to bring or test, let us know, but we're not responsible if it gets blown up by a monster. Do I need a license? Nope, you're covered as long as you're on the boat, the boat is licensed for all those on it. Payment options? In god we trust, everyone else pays cash. We do except Credit Crards and Paypal, but there will be a 4% fee added to each charge. Please tip deckhands in cash. Fish cleaning? We handle all the fish cleaning and it is included in the price with the exception of Giant Bluefin Tuna. If you don't want the fish let us know before we kill it please. Who gets the catch? It's your fish, not ours. If you don't want to kill fish let us know before we stick it with a gaff. On makeup trips we split the catch among the anglers as evenly as possible. All billfish are released as long as they are viable. Do we need to bring drinks and food? Yes, and we have plenty of cooler space onboard, if you have small soft sided coolers those are fine, leave the big hard coolers in the car for taking fish home. Beer is ok, no hard alcohol and please keep it within reason. Clothing/Sunscreeen? Yes, clothes are preferred. Watch the weather and dress appropriately. The air temps will be closer to the water temps, especially offshore in the winter and if it's windy bring a wind breaker or rain jacket. Non marking soles for shoes, you can go barefoot if you like, but you assume resposibility for any injuries to your feet. Highy recommend chapstick and sunglasses. Drugs? No matter my personal opinion, we are FEDERALLY licensed. All prescription drugs must be recognized by the FEDS and no illegal drugs at all no matter if it's legal in the state (no happy grass onboard). If found onboard trip will be terminated immediately without refund. Is there an age limit? I love having kids onboard. I do not recommend taking a kid offshore for their first voyage. Call us to discuss, but one of my best tuna killers started at age 8 and is in plenty of the pics.
